With her therapy background of supporting people through challenging and stressful times in their lives, she has all the skills required to understand you and discover exactly what will make the perfect ceremony for you!

What is a celebrant and how does it work?
A celebrant is an independent person who creates and delivers a completely personalised ceremony just for you and your event. There are no constraints or restrictions over venue, time, vows, commitments, readings, music, or any other aspect of your ceremony! A celebrant can include religious, cultural, or symbolic elements in your ceremony (unlike a registrar conducted wedding ceremony). If you are having a naming ceremony, any elements you wish can be included. The ceremony can take place anywhere you choose, as you are not restricted to licenced or religious venues, so you could choose the beach, the forest, a garden, a stately home, a hotel or even your own garden!
What are the steps for a celebrant led wedding?
1. Call or email for an initial chat (phone/zoom/facetime) free of charge
2. If you decide to book, you pay a 25% booking fee and complete a brief booking form
3. I come and see you to gather all the information I need to design your ceremony
4. Six months before the event you pay a further 25%
5. Three months before the event, I will share the draft ceremony for your feedback and the final balance is paid
5. At least 1 month before the event, we agree all the ceremony details
5. I personally deliver your ceremony on the day!
Registrar led Wedding v Celebrant Wedding?
What's the difference?
A registrar led wedding can only take place at a licenced venue (which are generally more expensive than un-licenced venues).
You are not able to have spiritual, religious, or cultural references or any symbolic elements.
You will not meet the registrar conducting the ceremony before the day. There is a strict format to follow, which requires exact wording.
Alternatively, a celebrant led wedding has no restrictions and can take place at any venue, licenced or un-licenced.
The ceremony is completely bespoke to you with the script designed and written personally for you!
You can include your own vows and any other personal elements you would like!
Your celebrant can also attend a rehearsal if you would like them to!
It is important to note that a celebrant led wedding is not legally binding, therefore the legalities need to be conducted at a registry office either before or after the celebration ceremony (usually before).
This is a very simple process, (approx. 10 mins), where just the couple and two witnesses need to attend. The cost of the formal registration is very quick and the fee generally ranges between £50 and £90 depending upon which local authority registrar you use.
Prior to your legal ceremony (approximately one month), you need to 'give notice' with the registrar in the district that each of you live.
The cost for this is currently £42 each, regardless of where you live.
